An Introduction to Young Living Essential Oils Part 6
Kinetic Energy and Chemistry

Kinetic Energy

For years in my clinical practice, I researched what may be called "chi" or life force. I felt there had to be natural ways to increase this energy. This led to the research and subsequent discovery of the power found in pure essential oils.

How do you define the power of life force? Although essential oils have been used for thousands of years, only now has science developed the ability to research them on a cellular level. C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., wrote that "Quantum physicists have confirmed the reality of the basic vibratory essence of life." He also noted that "life energy is not static; it is kinetic."

Experiments using a high-resolution microscope that magnifies greater than 1,000 times and utilizes dark-field technology have shown an incredible difference between Young Living Essential Oils and other brands. Only the Young Living’s essential oils showed light, vibration, and rapid motion as captured in live-motion videos. This pulsing movement seems to indicate active coenzymes, minerals, oxygenating molecules, and more. The research is ongoing.

While science is still determining what to call this type of energy (life force, Brownian motion, kinetic energy, eloptic energy, or a biological energy field), even more intriguing ideas have been investigated. In The Living Energy Universe by Gary E.R. Schwartz, Ph.D. and Linda G.S. Russek, Ph.D., the authors propose the theory of "systemic memory" - meaning that everything throughout the universe has memory. They write that the alcohol compounds contained in roses, for example, will have a different systemic history than the very same alcohol compounds created chemically in a laboratory. In their book, the authors state the following:

"This implication may help explain why aromatherapy and other natural remedies such as herbs work. When the distiller extracts the 'essential' oils from a plant, he or she may be extracting the 'essential systemic memories' that reflect the wholeness of the plants themselves in addition to the unique combination of physical components that comprise the individual plants." (page 146)

Could plants that are lovingly raised in a natural environment provide essential oils with an enhanced systemic memory and more a powerful life force?

I firmly believe that the chemistry and kinetic energy of essential oils have the ability to help maintain and improve the body's life force for optimal health.

Chemistry

Besides the power of their life force, essential oils have healing benefits derived from their chemistry. Some constituents of the oils, such as the aldehydes found in lavender and chamomile, are calming. Eugenol found in cinnamon and clove is antiseptic and stimulating. Ketones found in lavender, hyssop, and patchouli stimulate cell regeneration and liquefy mucus. Sesquiterpenes, predominant in vetiver and sandalwood, are soothing to inflamed tissue. In 1994 sesquiterpenes were found to go beyond the blood-brain barrier, increasing oxygen around the pineal and pituitary glands.

Phenols found in oregano and thyme oil are highly antimicrobial. In 1985 Dr. Jean C. Lapraz said he could not find any microbe that could live in the presence of the essential oils of cinnamon or oregano. This is significant as we face life-threatening, drug-resistant viruses and bacteria.

To date, over 200 types of oils are distilled worldwide, with several thousand chemical constituents and aromatic molecules identified and registered. If we were to list all the constituents of each oil and only a few of their major benefits, the list would be extremely long. The value of essential oils is immense.

To top it off, essential oils are fast acting. When applied to the feet, they can travel throughout the body and affect the cells, including the hair, within 20 minutes. The effects of a single application may last for up to five months; yet because of their volatility and high evaporation rate, essential oils do not accumulate in the body. Because of their chemical structure, essential oils are metabolized in the cells like other nutrients.

 Testimonial

First, a little history. I started taking a drug about 7 or so years ago for depression. My doctor just perscribed it to me after failed attempts at weight loss. So, add the new drug to the allergy medication, other drugs, and there I go, sniffly and depressed.

I started using the oils a couple of years after that, mostly getting RDT and using the EODR for what helps this, that, and any other thing. I have found that I am much more open to trying ANYTHING on myself than I would ever recommend to anyone else. My upline sponsor, a reflexologist, and I had been working with vitamin supplements to correct a skin problem.

When we discovered the oils, I began adding them to the regimine. Lemongrass and melaluca for my shoulder - fungal infections, lots of valor, you name it, I tried it. I'm sure you and others have experienced the skin oozing and weeping from toxins being drawn out. I always see that people recommend stopping the oil, it's an allergy, or it's too fast. Well, like I said, I'll do a lot to myself..I kept it going. Yes, it itched like crazy! But when it healed, it felt sooo good.

It finally occured to me to work on the depression. I had discovered dowsing as a way to choose oils so I started asking, "what do I need for depression?" Jasmine. LOTS of jasmine. I fully believe that every person responds differently, and jasmine is not for everyone, but it sure worked for me. I was putting 30 drops of jasmine on the back of my neck for around 7 months to a year. I used dream catcher and valor on my shoulders, and put geranium and ylang ylang on my feet. Every night, sometimes 30 drops of each one. I also bought a diffuser and diffused the dream catcher. (and another for RC and Raven...I CAN BREATH!!!)

After doing this, I experienced hot flashes, headaches - the pounding kind like people say are migranes. I 'felt' it was the antidepressant. My doctor sent me to a neurologist for "migranes" and he scheduled an EEG. (I have "really pretty brain waves" by the way. must be the oils!) After finding nothing wrong, he started weaning me from the drug.

I continued with the oils...only I started ingesting them instead of drenching myself in them. Still, lots of jasmine, less geranium and ylang ylang. The headaches disappeared, the hot flashes stopped. I even managed to stop taking the other drug. I am totally drug free now!

I am still working at detoxifying, still have asthma, and still have skin problems. It's taken years, but I can now FEEL what oils to use and what vitamins to take. I still dowse everything, every day just to be sure. I know I'm better off overall. I don't remember having an problems with the transition. I didn't notice any difficulties as my dosage was cut back every few months. For me, that must have been the key. Starting with the oils first for several months, then slowing cutting the dosage. Of course, the neurologist said not to just stop them all at once, so he took it down really slowly over 5 months. I've been off them for over a year and a half.
